Visa suggests a solution for auto-payments from self-custodial wallets

Visa’s crypto thought leadership team proposed a solution enabling automatic recurring payments from Ethereum-powered crypto wallets. In the technical piece posted on Dec. 20, Visa said a new type of self-custodial wallet called “delegable accounts” could allow user accounts to “function like smart contracts” that contain information on scheduled payments and don’t require a sign-off from the wallet owner to initiate each transaction.
