Japan set to deploy digital yen pilot in April
After two years of experiments conducted by the Bank of Japan (BOJ), the launch of a digital yen pilot program is finally scheduled for April. According to a report from Reuters, BOJ executive director Shinichi Uchida said in a meeting with private-sector executives that their “hope is that the pilot programme will lead to improved designs through discussion with private businesses.”
