VISA starts testing stablecoin settlements

Payments giant VISA has started testing stablecoin settlements on its platform. The development was confirmed by Cuy Sheffield, VISA’s head of the crypto division. He said: “We’ve been testing how to actually accept settlement payments from issuers in USDC starting on Ethereum and paying out in USDC on Ethereum. So, these are large value settlement payments.”
